Life’s major turning points include Birth, Marriage, and Death. These three profound events often awaken in us the desire for a deeper sense of God’s presence in our lives.
When we start looking for a church, we are not necessarily simply looking for a place to worship on a given Sunday. Instead, we might be looking for a place to baptize our new baby, bless our shared love in Holy Matrimony, or celebrate the life and mourn the death of a loved one.
If you are facing one of life’s major turning points, we hope you will want to learn more about St. Andrew's.
Baptisms
Holy Baptism is the initiation by water and the Holy Spirit into Christ’s Body – the Church. The bond which God establishes in Baptism is permanent and represents the outward and visible sign of Christ’s grace at work in our lives now and for ever. We baptize those who come to God in faith in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.
In the Episcopal Church, Baptism is the entry rite into the Christian life. Baptism is the only requirement for joining in the Holy Eucharist and all other ministries of the Church.
If you are interested in baptism, please contact Father Steve (865) 983-3512.

Funerals
As Christians, we live in the hope and reality that nothing can separate us from the love of God in Jesus Christ – nothing in life; nothing in death. Still, one of the hardest things we face in this life is the death of a loved one.
The clergy, staff, and pastoral care team at St. Andrew's offer their caring support and expertise to individuals and families through those first difficult days. Our love and care begins with the planning of the funeral to celebrate their life and to offer comfort in the promise of life beyond the door of death by the grace of God.
